Product description
Palletizing Gantry
The new standard gantry system specifically for palletizing applications ensures reliable and flexible loading and unloading of pallets. The drylin® space portal robot can lift a weight of up to 10 kg, making it our strongest space portal robot.

Application examples
Typical applications of our gantry robots are pick and place, conveyor belt picking, sorting tasks, stacking tasks and of course palletizing applications in three-dimensional space. Most of the time, the space portal robot provides the platform on which our customers build their application. In conjunction with a gripper or vacuum cleaner, picking tasks can be carried out very quickly.

X axes
consisting of: two drylin® ZLW-20120 toothed belt axis, toothed belt tension 700 N, feed 144 mm/rev, aluminum profile, surface: hard anodized, PU toothed belt with stainless steel pull, white, guide carriage with a length of 300 mm, aluminum traverses, driven on one side by an igus EC /BLDC motor in size NEMA24 with encoder and gearbox (i=10:1), mechanical synchronization by vertical shaft AWMP-12

Y axis
consisting of: drylin® ZLW-20200 toothed belt axis, toothed belt tension 700 N, feed 144 mm/rev, aluminum profile, surface: hard anodized, PU toothed belt with stainless steel pull, white, guide carriage length 300 mm, aluminum traverses, driven by an igus EC/BLDC Motor in size NEMA24 with encoder and gearbox (i=10:1)

Z axis
consisting of: drylin® GRR-20120 cantilever axle, AWMR hollow shafts, feed: 72.26 mm/rev, aluminum shafts, guide carriage with a length of 100 mm, including adjustable housing bearings, aluminum traverses, driven by an igus EC/BLDC motor in the Size NEMA24 with encoder, brake and gear (i=5:1)

Control system
The igus® Robot Control software (iRC) enables simple and intuitive robot control and programming, making it easy to get started with automation. The modular structure allows different igus kinematics, for example delta robots, to be controlled. The portal robot can be controlled directly with all its advantages using our igus® Robot Control.  The free and license-free igus Robot Control software is integrated into the control and therefore uses a uniform operating concept and consistent communication services for many components of a system. This means less configuration effort and faster commissioning.  The igus Robot Control is not part of the article and can be purchased from us as an option. A master control is not necessary.  If you want to use your own (robot) controller, that's no problem either.

Alternatively, it is also possible to operate each axis individually with a controller. For example with our igus® dryve D1 motor control. With this control architecture, you need a motor control for each linear axis or motor and an additional master control that controls the coordination of the movement. You then have to program the inverse kinematics for the Delta robot yourself in your development environment.
The motor controls are not part of the article and can be purchased from us as an option. A master control is currently not offered by igus.

Optional accessories
Cable set for 3-axis kinematics in 3, 5 or 10 migus® Robot Control for Gantry robotsOther dimensions available upon request or e-chain set for DLE-RG-0004 sold separately.

Further information
In addition, further strokes of up to 3 m are available as standard and, after technical testing, up to 6 m and 20 kg.
If you are unsure whether you can use the product as desired, please contact us or use our Linear robot configurator (beta).
