The vector awards recognize unique applications with energy supply systems. These applications can be implemented with multifaceted cable carriers and cables. Modern plastic cable carriers have for 50 years ensured the safe, reliable supply of energy, data, signals, and media while remaining in continuous motion. They can be used universally, from cranes to machine tools, from industrial robots to laboratory technology. The cables and their carriers must be constantly reinvented to meet high demands, such as dynamic speeds, compact installation spaces, heavy additional loads, and cleanrooms. Condition monitoring and predictive maintenance solutions called smart plastics prepare the cable carrier for Industry 4.0.
An independent panel of judges evaluates the projects participating in the vector awards. The judges will be looking for application solutions that have been implemented as industrial projects, are marked by technical and economic efficiency, and bold creativity. Only applications with plastic cable carriers and plastic hybrid solutions will be accepted. By participating, the competitor gives legally binding consent on the part of the participating company to any kind of report/advertising regarding the application.
**The winners will be selected by an expert jury composed of members from the fields of science, Industrial fair, specialist media and associations and will be awarded at the 2022 Hannover Trade Show (April 25-29, 2022).
