The ESQM
2.0 is an innovative, split pillow block bearing that has been specially
developed for solar trackers. It is characterised by high performance, simple
installation, optimised materials, a lower design height as well as zero
lubrication and maintenance.
To simplify
assembly, the pillow block bearing has a split housing and a split bearing
insert, whereby the alignment of the profile notch has been changed from a
V-shape to a U-shape.
The
spherical ball is composed of the durable and chemically resistant tribopolymer
iglidur P UV, which also offers excellent UV resistance. It allows for angular
compensation of up to 9 degrees and radial load capacities of up to 50 kN. Pins
in the lower part of the housing, which is composed of solarmid G, a UV-resistant
material, prevent the bearing from moving while it is being installed. The
upper part of the housing consists of a galvanised sheet metal bracket, which
saves installation height. In addition, there are cut-outs in the spherical
ball for routing cables along the profile, which enables clean and safe cabling
of the solar modules. The second generation of the ESQM is lighter than its
predecessor and therefore saves material and costs.
Solar
tracking with the ESQM 2.0 is lubricant- and maintenance-free, reliable and
environmentally friendly - a perfect solution for the solar industry!
