Lead screw nut made of iglidur® J350 - High-temperature material for temperatures up to +150°COur lead screw nut made of the high-performance polymer iglidur® J350 enables the application at permanently medium to high ambient temperatures. The long-term application temperature ideally should be between +60 and + 150°C in order to obtain the maximum performance out of the material.
Further advantages are:
► Dimensionally stable even at high temperatures
► Certifiable according to EN 45545 HL3, R24
► Ideally suited for the railway industry► Good coefficient of friction at medium loads
► Application range up to +150°C upper long-term application temperature
► Permissible permanent surface pressure in the thread pitches 0 - 3.0MPa
All our lead screw nuts are made of the wear-resistant iglidur® high-performance polymers. This gives you the following advantages:
► 100% lubrication-free and maintenance-free
► Durable and robust in adverse environments
► Chemical resistant and mould-free
► Quiet and vibration free travel
► PTFE-free
► FDA compliance
► Stability of high loads
► Long-term application in temperature ranges from -20°C to +150°C
The base material is additionally reinforced by technical fibres or fillers. The solid lubricants are microscopic particles, embedded in millions of tiny chambers of the material. This is adequate to sufficiently lubricate the immediate surrounding area and to reduce the friction of the system. These additives stabilise our lead screw nuts decisively for wear resistance.
There are 7 different standard materials available for various applications: iglidur J - high efficiency at all speeds, iglidur J350 - for temperatures up to +150°C, iglidur A180 - FDA-compliant for food and pharmaceutical industries, iglidur E7 - for high speeds with low loads, iglidur R - vibration and oscillation-inhibiting, iglidur J200 - best mating partner to aluminium and iglidur W300 - for high-load applications.
In addition to a large selection of standard materials for lead screw technology, igus also offers a wide range of variants in the lead screw nut geometry itself:
