Product description
drylin SHT linear module in hygienic design
As part of our design study, we are looking for an ideal solution for the food industry. The linear axis uses drylin R stainless steel round shafts EWMS (material 1.4571 AISI 316 Ti) for the guide and the dryspin threaded spindle made of stainless steel (DS18x4) for the drive. All components, whether metal or plastic, were adapted to the same hygienic design specifications. The traverse assembly consists of two housing halves. The housing halves are sealed using a flat seal (FDA-compliant silicone seal) and screwed together using 4 hygienic screws.

Crossbars
The crossbars can be fixed to the application environment via two holes. We recommend using hygienic screws and nuts during assembly and sealing the holes completely.

Shaft and spindle sealing
The rotating spindle and shafts are sealed using specially configured wiper seals. The seals prevent dirt from entering the crosshead. There is a sufficiently large gap between the crosshead and spindle to prevent dirt from being deposited.

Linear slide with thread
Manufactured from FDA-compliant igus polymer in a patented design. Generous flushing grooves prevent nucleation between the thread and the threaded nut. The round shafts are optimized for better flushability with defined radii (min. R3). The outer shape with radii and chamfers improves the drainage of liquids and ensures a simple cleaning process. For the connection via the through holes (left and right outside), we also recommend the use of hygienic screw connections
