World premiere: the first energy chain made from recycled material. Based on the igus chainge program, the new E2.1.C.G e-chain® catalogue range was created using 100% recycled material - all tested in the igus laboratory.
This is how the igumid CG material is created:
We collect the old energy chains. The material is sorted by type, cleaned and processed to virgin material quality. The E2.1.CG product range is created from the new igumid CG material.

You can send us your old plastic energy chains instead of simply disposing of them with other products as part of your industrial waste. The key is that we accept all energy chains, even those from other manufacturers. We collect returns with the aim of maximising recycling, either in our own production or through the use of a recycling partner who will send the material for reuse. We separate the material on site and shred everything we can use for production into regranulate. We reward your commitment with an igus voucher based on the weight of the chain sent to us.
