iglide® i3000 3D printing resin for wear parts and gears
iglide® i3000 gives igus the world's first 3D printing resin developed specifically for DLP 3D printing of wear parts and gears. The parts made of the synthetic resin cured layer by layer with UV light feature very fine details and an extremely long service life. Now available in the igus 3D printing service and the material shop.
Greater strength, better surface and lower component price
The iglide® i6-BLUE laser sintering material is another wear-resistant 3D printing plastic tested for food conformity and approved in accordance with FDA and EU 10/2011 requirements. The blue colour ensures the necessary optical detectability. Special parts, prototypes, and series for applications in the food and beverage industry can now be manufactured in quantities of as few as 1 and as many as 10,000 in just three days. Thanks to the incorporated solid lubricants, the moving parts need not be lubricated, and the special material composition reduces abrasion by up to a factor of 50.
Rigid multi-material partner for iglidur® i190 and for structural components
The new igumid P190 fiber-reinforced 3D print filament has been specifically developed as a partner material for iglide i190 for manufacturing especially strong, low-friction components with the multi-material printing process. Its great strength and rigidity makes igumid P190 suitable for printing strong structural parts and for lightweight construction with little need for material.
Prices, delivery time, and service life - Now all in one tool
The service life calculation newly integrated into the 3D printing service tool now allows very easy service life calculation for individual components in sliding applications, based on the results of thousands of wear tests from the igus test laboratory every year. Users thus receive all information on price, delivery time, and expected component service life in a single tool.
Wear parts and small series, 70% faster at up to 80% less cost
In the print2mold® service, we produce individual injection moulded parts from our iglide® materials. The 3D printed molds result in huge reductions in cost and time. An improved tooling system now makes injection molded parts available even faster, and they cost as much as 80% less to produce than with milled injection molding tools.
Improved precision and delivery time for parts of up to 1m
Thanks to the new medium-sized printer, igus can now offer large-format parts (up to 1m) in its 3D printing service with improved precision, at a better price, and with a shorter delivery time.
iglide® i150 and i151, which are especially wear-resistant, make it easy to use large-format components in large-scale mechanical engineering. Additive manufacturing can reduce costs and material usage by up to 80%.
