Thrust washers

Thrust washer bearings, known for their flat design, are commonly inserted between a stationary and a rotating component. Their purpose is to secure the rotating part by providing a surface for it to come into contact with if it starts moving laterally. The thrust washer bearings from igus® utilize self-lubricating iglide® materials, ensuring maintenance-free and dry operation across a diverse array of applications and axial load demands. Our comprehensive range of iglide® materials undergoes rigorous testing in our expansive 41,000 sq. ft. laboratory. This meticulous testing guarantees extended service life and exceptional wear-resistance, especially in highly corrosive or challenging environments where conventional metal thrust washer bearings would succumb to corrosion and malfunction, resulting in unforeseen downtime.
