igus® has been ISO 9001:2008 certified since November 1996

iF Design Award

igus® has been awarded 13 iF Design Awards since 1987

TÜV Product Safety

igus® Energy Chains® and E-Tubes have been successfully tested by TÜV Rheinland in accordance with relevant machine guidelines.

This means igus® Energy Chain® cable carrier users need not worry about testing this machine component to ensure it meets CE guidelines. The construction test 2PFG 1036 / 10/97 for protective equipment includes the following:

ESD/ATEX

Energy Chain® cable carriers made from igus'® igumid ESD material correspond to the German federal office of Physics and Technology (PTB)'s classification Ex II 2 GD according to ATEX-RL 94/9/EG.

IPA cleanroom

Many Energy Chain® cable carriers are suitable for use in cleanrooms according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1. This has been acknowledged by the IPA Fraunhofer Institut.

UL, CSA, CEI, CE and VDE

All igus'® igumid materials have UL approval. igumid NB has the fire protection class approval IIb according to test VDE 0304 Part 3/5.70; approval V2 according to UL 94 and the class B2 according to DIN 4102.

Interbus and DESINA

Chainflex® cables are produced in accordance with several international standards, including Interbus certification for certain CF11 bus cables and DESINA compliance.
